MIRKASTAN
Mirkastan is a travelogue in real time, a twitter narrative of a journey from Amsterdam to Tokyo via Serbia, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan (sort of), Uzbekistan, and China in the Spring of 2009.
Mirkastan is edited and published by The Proconsul Publishers. It was released in 2010 at MOMA/PS1 in New York.
Like the individual frames of a film, a larger story is built by tiny flickers of twittered text, in which each is individually significant, but which combine to create an abstracted moving image of the experience being portrayed.

As a guest curator Nina Spiering organizes exhibitions at gallery Dek22 in Rotterdam. Her last exhibition was called 'Insight the City'.
Insight The City:
The exhibition showed work from Bander van Ierland, Georg Bohle and Bart Isings. Three artists who contruct cities from their own fascinations.
Nina's next exhibition in Dek22 will be in June.

Miktor & Molf is the title of a short made by absurdistic duo De Bubbelebim. De Bubbelebim made a series of short movies in which they invited other artists to be part of the surrealistic universe of the Bubbelebim.
Nina Spiering co-produced and coached the project.
